Finally
decided to learn to play the guitar or need a few lessons
to get out of the rut you're in musically?
A few words from Pete:
"I've
been
teaching professionally for the last 20 years. My goal as
a guitar teacher is to demystify the process of making music
as much as I can by taking a common sense, yet individualized,
approach to music with each of my students.
"I
believe in the folk music process. I believe that music is
a shared form of communication between people and that there
are many ways to encourage and explain how to do it.
"A
specific focus of my teaching is pre-bebop jazz and swing,
as well as the Hot Club-style music of Django Reinhardt. I've
spent years playing and studying this music, both here and
abroad, and I love sharing what I've learned with my students."
A
block of four weekly one hour lessons are $160 and there's
a $20 hour-long introductory lesson available as well to give
you to make sure it's a good fit. Pete's available for lessons
Tuesday through Saturday (gigs permitting) at his studio in
the ActivSpace Building on SE 8th and Main St.

an intro lesson and see if Pete is the right teacher for you,
